广州归谷科技园的首届“海创路演会”

6大高精尖硅谷项目，40多家创投机构，齐聚首届海创路演会。

6月23日，首届“海创路演会”在广州归谷科技园成功举办，本次活动由广州归谷科技园与舜会资本共同合作，旨在为优质项目与投资机构进行对接，搭建海外科技、资本、人才和文化交流的平台。

活动火热筹办

现场活动气氛热烈，座无虚席

来自美国前科技项目、国家“千人计划”专家分别展示了VR技术、芯片检测、人工智能投资、智能商务、纳米抗体药物、语意机器人等领域的精尖成果；来自不同投资领域的和君资本等40家风投公司认真聆听了科技项目路演，并表示浓厚兴趣及投资意向，各自进行了项目孵化、投资意向深入对接了解。

海创路演会的启动，标志着归谷在路演平台打造上跨越最新的一步。有助于优质项目与投资机构进行对接，搭建海外科技、资本、人才和文化交流的平台。

今年以来广州开发区的政策利好重重，年初发布了四个“黄金10条”吸引科技企业落户，5月份发布了人才和知识产权“美玉10条”招才引智，最近又发布了“风投10条”，将设立100亿元的风投引导基金。 “海创路演会”正是在上述利好政策下，归谷科技园汇集海外最前沿科技的项目，主动与风投资本合作，为海外人才与科技项目提供全方位的服务，为科技项目成功融资及落地助力。

归谷科技园是广州开发区从美国硅谷引进的重点产业项目，也是中国海交会创新创业示范园区，以孵化、资本、人才、技术四大平台，致力为海外高层次人才回归国内打造“孵化+投资”的融创型产业园区，将重点打造创业板、中小板上市公司；园区举办首届“海创路演会”，标志着海外前沿科技项目展示及资本对接的海创路演会平台正式拉开帷幕。

圣何西智慧城市科技展见闻点滴

6月2日，在硅谷的科技交流重镇圣何西，市政府举办了一年一度的本地城市发展论坛及新技术展览会，开放给所有对投资城市发展有兴趣的人。不愧是高科技云集的硅谷，利用先进技术改善城市人们生活深受各市政部门重视，很多推广的项目都利用物联网技术(IoT)，大力提倡节能环保。

硅谷科技咨询委员会（SVTC）自然也积极参与赞助，设立摊位介绍我们的科技交流服务项目。事实上，在大会手册的封面内页，就印有醒目的SVTC玛莎都葡萄庄园和归谷科技园的宣传告示，欢迎使用此处设施举办各种创新科技交流活动！林铭理事长还上台向大家致辞和作了介绍。

本届展会由矽谷科技华商会筹办，得到多方投资公司的赞助，附近几个城市的市长和郡主管都向与会者致意，欢迎各大小科研技术公司来本地，立足和推广他们的新技术、新成果。更多请观看丁丁电视台的报道。

在展厅的周围一圈，排满了各公司的宣传摊位，中间摆有不少洽谈的桌椅。我们看到潮商会的醒目横幅，还有广州归谷科技园制作的宣传片在播放。

SVTC的摊位安排在进门左侧不远，旁边正是IBM的沃森人工智能系统：一个不到一米高的机器人站在桌子上，能够用英语和访客对话。沃森在展会上盼望能够开发服务老人和智障儿童的机会--他们是最需要人工智能帮助的群体。沃森的服务质量可靠，胜过人工陪伴。当然，沃森还能用在许多其它领域，据说能够操其它语言的沃森正在开发中,下面是一段介紹沃森的視頻。

我们硅谷科技协会的吴傢豪博士是智能交通的专家，不仅为本地的南三藩市建立了交通预测体系，还曾在中国广州成功完成一个很大的智能交通项目，这次上台演讲，介绍了车辆互联技术和自动驾驶的有关开发。从发展来看，我们硅谷有很大的潜力来组建和支持高效能的交通体系。

另一位大数据的专家，IBM的高级工程师和科学家凌棕博士也在大会演讲。他也是我们硅谷科技协会的专家之一，我们为他拍了照片，更为他感到骄傲。他的团队分析研究大数据，包括了在很多方面的应用，大多在有效利用材料和资源的方面。

SVTC办公室的工作人员还在展会现场遇到其他的科技界熟人，参观了他们所展示的项目。JustLight是一家台湾公司，来到硅谷推广节省能源、灯光冷气暖气的统一智能控制、利用太阳能的物联网综合技术。他们还生产销售的一种贴在门窗玻璃上的薄膜，能保持室内外温差，大大减少冷气或暖气的需要量。任何公司部门若採用他们所提供的技术，一定能节省很多钱！

有个新成立的中医大学也来了，宣传和倡导先进的癌症防治，为人义诊。他们的校长麻仲学是一位挺出名的中医肿瘤专家，提供的课程包括中医的食物疗法，周末上课。你若有兴趣，可以联络“福特中医大学”。

还有一家建筑材料公司GigaCrete，似乎是印度裔经营的印度进口技术，为城市提供先进的“绿色”建筑材料砖。那些各种质色的砖拿在手上很轻，除了保温隔热，还能够防弹！盖造新房用它固然好，但旧房翻新也可以加这么一层，美观节能又增值！嘿，房地产投资和经纪人一定有兴趣。

香港潮商会来访硅谷科技咨委会

5月31日星期三，香港潮州商会胡剑江会长带领16人代表团，来到硅谷科技咨询委员会（SVTC）访问，并共进晚餐。由于胡剑江先生在商业界贡献卓越，声望崇高，咨委会决定聘请他为副主席，此行正好正式举行颁发聘书仪式。

为了欢迎胡会长和祝贺他，国际潮籍博士北美联合会，圣荷西潮州会馆三个机构的几位老朋友也来到SVTC参加这一次的交流活动。

胡剑江主席是安徽省的政协委员，在胡主席的牵线搭桥下，我们也与安徽省结缘，安徽省同乡会主席陈健女士和另一位代表王硕强先生前来参加了欢迎会。

下午5点半，代表团准时到达位于玛莎都葡萄庄园的SVTC会址。阳光灿烂，大家去到一排排的葡萄树附近观看，纷纷以葡萄庄园为背景合影留念。进入会所，大家见面认识、交换名片、畅谈旅行和商务合作机会。

稍作休息之后，欢迎会开始，大家进入会议室。SVTC的理事长林铭表示热烈欢迎，并为大家介绍香港潮商会，国际潮青的的各位贵宾与硅谷本地前来参加活动的客人。

SVTC的执行主席范群博士这次也特别回到美国来，范博士上台致辞各位的到来，并介绍硅谷科技协会（SVSTA）多年来在人才交流方面的贡献，范博士简单介绍了SVSTA和SVTC的发展过程。

SVTC很荣幸能够聘请香港胡剑江先生为副主席，范博士郑重宣布了聘请决定，并邀请胡先生讲话。胡先生谦虚地表示要继续学习，衷心祝愿SVTC的会务兴旺，把广东澳门香港地区的项目和资金对接承担起来。

林铭理事长介绍了SVTC的服务项目；潮籍博士会的林楠林博士介绍了他们在潮州在成立高层次院校的目标；圣何西潮商会的黄雄谋先生也致辞欢迎和介绍。安徽同乡会的会长陈健也为胡会长介绍了他们同乡会的发展。

胡会长向咨询委员会赠送了书法“天工开物”。胡会长以此表达工匠之心，希望咨委会的科技事业大展宏图。

简单的欢迎仪式结束之后，代表团与客人们在玛莎都庄园共进晚餐。杯光交错中，大家愉悦畅谈硅谷的科技发展和商务往来。

硅谷科技咨询委员会与安微省的同乡会的陈会长也达成了合作意向，咨委会表示可以承接安徽省机构在美国硅谷的考察活动，与科技对接等具体工作。

另外，硅谷的创业人Sammy Cheung也介绍了他在可编程芯片设计（Programmable IC）方面的创新与商业战略。由于林铭理事长也是电工程背景，又与Sammy同是Cornell的校友，两人做了很深入的探讨。Sammy表示，可编程芯片设计在未来的半导体业发展中可以起到很好的促进作用，大幅度降低芯片研发初期的时间和成本。

胡剑江主席为大家介绍了中国对粤港澳大湾区的战略规划设想。他表示愿与咨委会一同，在美国硅谷湾区做好前置的资源整合，把中美两个大湾区对接起来。

交流晚宴结束之后，来宾们对咨委会用心营造的科技交流氛围表示赞扬，认为这样的交流更加务实与讲究实效。咨委会的成员们也表示，能够有机会让国内的客人与硅谷各界人士交流是一个很有意义的工作，让人了解到了中国的发展动向与硅谷的科技动态！

O-R3：机器人警车+无人机

这是新加坡的RoboCop车，由初创公司Otsaw Digital制造，执行户外安防任务。它使用三维的LIDAR传感器来识别周围的人，知道是公司雇员还是不认识的外人入侵。若有人入侵就自动跟踪，并在遇到视线障碍时派出一架无人机从空中查看。它还会探测到哪个包是无人照管的，5分钟就会报警并进一步调查，看是不是什么危险物品。

据说客户可以租用一部O-R3，每个月的价钱比雇用4名安防人员的费用还便宜。英文全文按此阅读。

5月11至12日，由林少华会长率领的汕头市侨商投资企业协会访问团赴港交流访问，先后拜访香港潮州商会，拜会陈有庆、周光明等侨领，敦睦乡谊，共谋发展。

是日下午，会长林少华、名誉会长陈少斌前往香港环球大厦拜访著名商业领袖、全国侨联副主席、亚洲金融集团主席陈有庆。林少华首先向陈有庆主席介绍汕头侨商会的创立和发展情况，得到陈有庆主席的高度赞许。随后双方就“一带一路”、华侨经济、新潮商发展和家族企业传承等话题进行交流。会谈期间，林少华代表汕头侨商会向陈有庆主席颁发荣誉会长聘书，并赠送潮绣纪念品，陈少斌代表天下潮商传媒集团向陈有庆主席赠送国画佳作，陈有庆主席回赠亲笔签名的《侨通天下——陈有庆传》书籍予林少华会长、陈少斌名誉会长。

Postdoctoral Researcher and Teacher

Shantou University Medical College(SUMC) has a postdoctoral research station in clinical medicine, which now has openings for postdoctoral researcher and teacher.

1. Qualifications

Within 3 years of obtaining a doctorate degree in Clinical Medicine.

Licensed as a practicing physician.

Strong clinical practice of specialized skills (please list your skills)

authored 2 or more IF≥3 papers in formal publications.

or Directed 2 or more major research projects.

or authored and published at least 1 IF≥3 paper, in addition to directed 1 major research project.

or authored and published at least 1 IF≥5 paper.

2. Job Requirement

Postdoctoral research.

Provide guidance to residents in training.

In launching and engaging your research project, the position will be a full time, total committed career development position.

Actively engage first-line clinical works as required.

3. Salary and support programs

Postdoctoral Researcher and Teacher will receive annually 160,000 RMB, plus supporting incentive fund $160,000 RMB. (For candidates who do not take on teaching requirement, supporting incentive fund will not be available.) After pass a postdoctoral mid-term and outbound assessment, you will be able to apply another postdoctoral supporting project fund from Guangdong Province, which compensates the postdoctoral fellow 40,000 annually in living expenses (for no more than 2 years). In addition, there are also 40,000 research launching fund from Li Ka Shing Foundation.

Upon passing outbound assessment, postdoctoral researcher/teacher fellow should agree to stay and work for SUMC or affiliated hospitals, in order to enjoy the benefits of above offers.

4. Introduction of SUMC

SUMC’s Ph.D. program offers Clinical Medicine studies in 4 major fields: Pathology and pathophysiology, Pharmacology, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and Immunology. It has 3 postdoctoral research stations: Basic medicine, clinical medicine, and Pharmacology. Besides, SUMC has 5 affiliated hospitals, including 2 general hospitals, a cancer hospital, and a joint International Ophthalmology Center and Mental Health Center with Hong Kong. It also has 5 other non-affiliated hospitals to support teaching and resident trainings. Besides clinic treatment, these hospitals are important base for clinical research and teaching.

SUMC actively engage academic exchange at national and international level. Through East-West Alliance Symposium, there is research cooperation between SUMC and Stanford University, UC Berkeley, UC San Francisco, Oxford and Cambridge University, University of Alberta, University of Manitoba, St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto, etc. as well as with the national famous medical school of Shantou. In September 2007, SUMC joined efforts with Canadian University Health Network and University of Hong Kong School of Medicine, established the International Institute for Infection and Immunology, a totally new international joint research platform. Its research team members have published research papers and articles on Nature, Science, and New England Journal of Medicine, etc.

The Shantou University also worked with Israel Polytechnic Institute in building of Guangdong Technion Israel Institute of Technology, officially launched research projects on Biomedical fields. The specialist teams of Cancer, Neurology, Immunology, Public Health and other fields are formed, research is funded by Li Ka Shing Foundation, aimed to resolve key issues in life science and medicine. Also, SUMC and its affiliated Cancer hospital will learn from US National Human Genome research center’s advanced model and the platform of high-end detection technology, to provide cancer patients accurate diagnosis and targeted treatment.

Shantou University Medical College Needs Your Talent!

In September 1983, the earliest predecessor of Shantou University Medical College, Chaozhou Obstetrics Training School of 1924, with many years of developing and growing, became Shantou University Medical College (SUMC). Now as the highest level medical education institute in east Guangdong Province, it is a rising star among the Chinese national medical training and research, located in South China Sea coast.

Currently SUMC has 206 professors/lecturers/researchers, 51% of them has had overseas study and training experiences, 63.1% have Ph.D. credentials. Among 2627 students, 1479 are undergraduates, 9 international students, 1038 in their master programs, and 101 in their Ph.D. programs.

The selected SUMC English Immersion students take USMLE-1 have had a pass rate of 95% and up. SUMC has a first-rated teaching team, and received multiple national top level rewards for teaching achievements.

Building on these accomplishments, this year SUMC opens its new medical school Teaching Center Building in the Shantou main campus, full supported by Shantou City Government and Mr. Li Ka Shing Foundation. This is a new milestone of SUMC for its life science research, integrated with several disciplines for cross-penetration, complementary advantages and innovations, further raise over all strength of SUMC.

To help the development and growth of SUMC’s advanced level research and training programs, we have immediate openings for high level elite professors and research fellows. The selected candidates will be awarded launch funds accordingly, and be offered substantial research launch funds and competitive packages accordingly. The offers are listed below:

1. Foreign academician, international top award winner: will be offered generous remuneration, including annual salary, research launch fund, home and rental subsidies--all will be negotiable.
2. Internationally recognized award winner, outstanding professors from overseas universities, well-known scholars: annual salary of no less than 800,000, research launch fund no less than 2,000,000, housing settlement no less than 1,200,000.
3. Professor of overseas universities or research institutions, or experts and scholars of equivalent level: annual salary of no less than 600,000, research launch fund no less than 1,500,000, housing settlement no less than 1,000,000.
4. Associate professor of overseas universities or research institutions, or experts and scholars of equivalent level: annual salary of no less than 500,000, research launch fund no less than 1,200,000, housing settlement no less than 800,000.
5. Younger scholars who obtained a doctorate degree from an overseas university, with associate professor or equivalent level: annual salary of no less than 350,000, research launch fund no less than 1,000,000, housing settlement no less than 600,000.
